Delivery settings in oFatoura are configured separately for each branch. From this screen you control whether delivery is available, how the fee is calculated, how far you deliver, when delivery runs, how estimated arrival times are worked out, and what minimums apply to delivery and pickup orders.
You need the Manage Settings permission to view or change delivery settings. To reach this screen, go to Settings > Delivery Settings in the web admin and choose the branch you want to configure.

Enable or disable delivery

The first toggle on the page turns delivery on or off for the selected branch. When delivery is off, customers cannot place delivery orders from that branch and no delivery fee is calculated.

Fee type

Choose how the delivery fee is calculated. There are three options:
Fee typeHow it works
FixedEvery delivery order carries the same flat fee, regardless of distance.
Distance-basedThe fee is calculated by multiplying the distance from the branch to the customer by a rate you set.
TieredYou define distance bands, each with its own fee. The customer is charged the fee for the band their address falls into.

Fixed fee

When you select Fixed, enter the amount in the Fixed Fee field. This amount is added to every delivery order.

Distance-based rate

When you select Distance-based, enter your Per Distance Rate. This rate is multiplied by the number of kilometres (or miles) between your branch and the delivery address.

Tiered fee bands

When you select Tiered, a section appears where you can add distance tiers, each with a fee. Add as many tiers as you need to cover your delivery zone.

Maximum delivery radius

Set the furthest distance you will deliver to in the Max Radius field (default: 5). Use the Unit dropdown to choose between kilometres and miles. Orders placed from addresses beyond this radius will not be accepted for delivery.

Free delivery thresholds

You can waive the delivery fee automatically under two conditions — you can use either or both together:
  • Free Delivery Over Amount — if the order subtotal exceeds this value, delivery is free.
  • Free Delivery Within Radius — if the customer’s address is within this distance from the branch, delivery is free.
Leave a field blank (or set it to zero) to disable that threshold.

Delivery schedule

Restrict delivery to specific hours using the schedule fields:
  • Delivery Schedule Start — the earliest time delivery orders can be placed.
  • Delivery Schedule End — the latest time delivery orders can be placed.
Outside these hours, delivery is unavailable even if the branch is open. Leave both times blank if you want delivery available during all operating hours.

Estimated arrival time (ETA)

oFatoura can show customers an estimated delivery time. Two settings control this calculation:
  • Average Delivery Speed — the typical speed of your delivery riders in km/h (default: 30). The system divides the delivery distance by this speed to estimate travel time.
  • Additional ETA Buffer Time — extra minutes added on top of the travel-time estimate to account for order preparation and handover. Enter 0 if you do not want a buffer.
If your riders consistently take longer than the distance alone suggests, increase the buffer time rather than lowering the average speed, so the estimate stays accurate across short and long distances.

Minimum order amounts

Set the smallest order value you will accept:
  • Min Order Amount — Delivery — applies to delivery orders. Orders below this amount cannot be placed for delivery.
  • Min Order Amount — Pickup — applies to pickup orders. Orders below this amount cannot be placed for pickup.
Leave a field blank or set it to zero to impose no minimum for that order type.

Saving your settings

Click Save after making any changes. Settings take effect immediately for new orders; orders already in progress are not affected.
Delivery settings are per-branch. If you have multiple branches, you must configure each one separately. You can speed this up by cloning delivery settings from one branch to another — see Branches and Operating Hours.
