Overview
- Create recipes that link menu items to inventory ingredients
- Set quantity of each ingredient per serving

Prerequisites
- Menu Items and Inventory Items must exist.
- You need permission to manage Recipes (Show Recipe).
- Inventory must be enabled for your restaurant.
Step-by-Step Actions
1. Open Recipes

- In the left sidebar, expand Inventory.
- Click Recipes.
- The Recipes page opens.
2. Create a new recipe
- Click Add Recipe or Create.
- Select the Menu item (the dish you sell).
- If the item has variations (e.g., size), select the variation.
- Add ingredients:
- Select the Inventory item
- Enter Quantity per serving (e.g., 0.2 for 200g if unit is kg)
- Ensure the Unit matches
- Repeat for each ingredient in the dish.
- Click Save or Create.
3. Edit a recipe
- Find the recipe (by menu item).
- Click Edit.
- Add, remove, or change ingredient quantities.
- Click Save.
4. Delete a recipe
- Find the recipe.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm.
- Stock will no longer be deducted for this menu item.
Common Mistakes and How to Avoid Them
