Prerequisites
- Menu Items should exist (see Menu items).
- You need permission to manage Promotions (usually under Menu Items).
Step-by-Step Actions
1. Open Promotions

- In the left sidebar, click Menu to expand it.
- Click Promotions.
- The Promotions page opens with your list of promotions.
2. Create a new promotion

- Click Add or Create.
- Enter the promotion name (e.g., “Lunch Special 20% Off”).
- Choose the discount type:
- Percentage – e.g., 20% off
- Fixed amount – e.g., $5 off
- Buy one get one – if supported
- Enter the discount value.
- Set Start date and End date.
- Select which menu items or categories the promotion applies to (or leave as “All” if it applies to everything).
- Set the promotion as Active if you want it to apply.
- Click Save or Create.
3. Edit a promotion
- Find the promotion in the list.
- Click Edit.
- Change the name, discount, dates, or items as needed.
- Click Save.
4. Activate or deactivate a promotion
- Use the Active or Status toggle on the promotion.
- An inactive promotion will not be applied to orders.
5. Delete a promotion
- Find the promotion.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm when asked.
Common Mistakes and How to Avoid Them
