Modifiers let customers choose options like size (Small, Medium, Large) or extras (Extra cheese, No onions). Modifier Groups hold the options; Item Modifiers are the individual choices.

  • You need permission to manage Menu Items.

Step-by-Step Actions

Part A: Modifier Groups

1. Open Modifier Groups

  1. In the left sidebar, click Menu to expand it.
  2. Click Modifier Groups.
  3. The Modifier Groups page opens.

2. Create a modifier group

  1. Click Add or Create.
  2. Enter the group name (e.g., “Size”, “Toppings”, “Extras”).
  3. If asked, set:
    • Minimum selection (e.g., must pick 1 size)
    • Maximum selection (e.g., up to 3 toppings)
  4. Click Save or Create.

3. Add item modifiers to the group

  1. Edit the modifier group.
  2. In the Modifiers or Options section, add each option:
    • Name (e.g., “Small”, “Medium”, “Large”)
    • Extra price (0 if no extra charge)
  3. Save.

Part B: Item Modifiers

1. Open Item Modifiers

  1. In the left sidebar, click Menu to expand it.
  2. Click Item Modifiers.
  3. The Item Modifiers page opens.

2. Create an item modifier

  1. Click Add or Create.
  2. Enter the modifier name (e.g., “Extra cheese”, “No onions”).
  3. Enter an extra price if it costs more (or 0 if free).
  4. Select which Modifier Group it belongs to.
  5. Set Available if you want it visible.
  6. Click Save or Create.

Part C: Assign to Menu Items

  1. Go to Menu Items.
  2. Edit the item that needs modifiers (e.g., a pizza).
  3. In the Modifier Groups section, select the groups (e.g., Size, Toppings).
  4. Save the item.
