Modifiers allow customers to personalize their orders. A modifier group can be optional or required, and can allow single or multiple selections.

Types of Modifiers

  • Single Choice: One selection (e.g., Size: Small or Large).
  • Multiple Choice: More than one selection (e.g., toppings).
  • Price Impact: Add extra cost (+2.00)orbefree(2.00) or be free (0.00).

Creating Modifiers

Create a Group

  1. Go to Menu > Modifier Groups.
  2. Click Add Group.
  3. Name it (e.g., “Pizza Toppings”).
  4. (Optional) Add a description.

Add Options (Item Modifiers)

Inside the group, add the choices:
  • Name: “Extra Cheese”.
  • Price: Enter the additional cost (e.g., 1.50).
  • Availability: Mark each option as available/unavailable.

Assign to Menu Items

Select which menu items (and item variations, if applicable) this modifier group should apply to.For each selected item, you can set:
  • Required
  • Allow Multiple Selection
Best Practice: Re-use modifier groups. Create one “Soft Drink Size” group and apply it to Coke, Sprite, and Fanta.
